Sholain’s story is one of resilience, growth, and determination.After matriculating without the financial means to further her studies, she began working as a cashier at Pick n Pay. Through this role, she was able to support her family while completing short bookkeeping courses, laying the foundation for her future in business.In 2005, her journey took a life-changing turn when she joined Retail Solutions (RetSol), led by Wayne Duncan. Under his mentorship, Sholain was encouraged to believe in her potential and that greater opportunities were possible through hard work and dedication.This guidance played a pivotal role in shaping her career and business mindset.
Growth Through Experience
A few years later, Sholain joined DW Bullion, bringing with her both experience and ambition. Her commitment, consistency, and strong work ethic led to her rapid growth within the company, eventually resulting in her promotion to CEO.During this time, she also invested in her future by acquiring a 26% shareholding in DW Bullion — a reflection of her belief in the business and her drive to build long-term value.
